  • Hyperpigmentation spots

  • Telangiectasis/Broken capillaries

  • Sebaceous hyperplasia

  • Seborrheic keratosis

Skin Classic Treatements:

Telangiectasis (Broken capillaries)

Broken capillariesBroken capillaries are small dilated blood vessels near the surface of the skin or mucus membranes. They can develop anywhere on the body but are commonly seen on the face around the nose, cheeks, chin, and chest. They can be caused by environmental damage such as sun or cold exposure and may increase as we age. Trauma to the skin such a contusions and surgical procedures are also a factor as well as radiation therapy.

Treatment

The skin classic uses high frequency technology to thermally vaporize these tiny capillaries with minimal impact to the client usually in one treatment, however, in the case of many capillaries the client may require a second treatment no sooner than 30 days (the skin healing cycle).

 Prognosis & Aftercare

Following the procedure it is recommended that you use a gentle cleanser twice a day, in addition to moisturizer and sunblock for positive healing. No harsh products should be used until the skin is smooth and free of redness, clients will develop a crust, reddened area or even a furrow like track within 24-36 hours. The crust or erythemic areas should shed within 7-14 days. Complete healing may take 30 days or longer.

Skin Tags

Skin tagsA skin tag is a small benign tumor that primarily forms in areas where the skin creases, such as the neck, armpit, and groin. Sometimes they may also appear on the eyelids or other areas of the face. These are harmless and typically painless, and do not grow or change over time. Skin tags can be large, sometimes up to a half inch long, but are most commonly about the size of a grain of rice. The surface can range from smooth to rough. They can become irritated by shaving, clothing, or jewelry. Common causes are weight gain, genetic, diabetes, and pregnancy. They are also more common in women than men.

Treatment

The Skin Classic uses a gentle tapping method of the skin to dehydrate the tag and cause it to shed in a few days. Sometimes scabbing can occur.

 Prognosis & Aftercare

Following treatment with the Skin Classic, the skin tag will shed within a week on it’s own. Be sure not to pick at it! The tissue will heal within 28-30 days. Avoid any irritants or harsh products until the 30 day healing cycle is complete and always apply moisturizer and sunscreen. Avoid direct sunlight. These may reappear as skin ages and it is best to have them treated as soon as they are visible.

Sebaceous hyperplasia

sebaceous hyperplasiaSebaceous hyperplasia is a common, benign skin condition caused by enlarged sebaceous (oil) glands, appearing as small, yellowish or flesh-colored bumps with a soft, waxy texture, often on the forehead, cheeks, and nose. These bumps may have a central indentation and are more common with aging or oily skin types. While harmless, sebaceous hyperplasia can be treated for cosmetic reasons using Skin Classic high-frequency technology, which precisely targets and reduces the bumps.

Treatment

The Skin Classic is an easy and very effective way to treat sebaceous hyperplasia without all of the typical, invasive medical interventions that are commonly used such as cauterization, laser treatment, or cryosurgery (liquid nitrogen) which risk scarring. The probe in the Skin Classic is naturally drawn to the sebum in the papule and can safely remove it with a light touch in a circular motion.

 Prognosis & Aftercare

Following the treatment, crusts may appear within 24-36 hours. The skin may appear to have a mild depression where the sebaceous hyperplasia was removed, however within 7-14 days the crusts typically shed and the tissue will heal within 28-30 days. Avoid any irritants or harsh products until the 30 day healing cycle is complete and always apply moisturizer and sunscreen. Avoid direct sunlight. These may reappear as skin ages and it is best to have them treated as soon as they are visible. Maintaining a good skin care regime can also aide in maintaining results and prevent reoccurring sebaceous hyperplasia.

Seborrheic Keratosis

Seborrheik keratosisSeborrheic keratosis is a common, benign skin growth that develops from keratinocytes, the cells in the outer layer of the skin. Often appearing with age, these lesions are sometimes mistaken for liver spots or other skin conditions.

Seborrheic keratosis can vary in size, shape, and color, ranging from light tan to dark brown or even black. They often have a waxy, scaly, or rough texture, resembling a scab, and are typically described as looking “pasted on” the skin. These growths may be flat or slightly raised, with a round or oval shape, and can range from very small to over an inch in diameter.

Though harmless, seborrheic keratosis can sometimes become irritated or cosmetically bothersome. If needed, they can be safely removed using professional skin treatments.

Treatment

The Skin Classic can remove a seborrheic keratosis easily and without bleeding, unlike other removal methods available. The Skin Classic vaporizes the tissue without damaging the surrounding tissue for a quicker, easier healing process with amazing results.

 Prognosis & Aftercare

After being treated with the Skin Classic, the keratosis will shed within a week on it’s own. Maintaining a good skin care regime can also aide in maintaining results and prevent reoccurring seborrheic keratosis.results.

Milia

Milia, the plural form of milium, are small, keratin-filled cysts that develop just beneath the epidermis. These tiny, whiteMilia or yellowish bumps are commonly found on the face, particularly around the nose and eyes, but they can also appear on other areas of the body. Milia occur when dead skin cells become trapped in small pockets on the skin’s surface, rather than shedding naturally.

While milia are most frequently seen in newborn babies and tend to resolve on their own within a few weeks, they can also develop in children and adults. In infants, milia are considered a normal and harmless condition, often disappearing without any treatment. However, in adults, milia may persist for longer periods and are less likely to resolve naturally. Factors such as sun damage, the use of heavy skincare products, or certain skin conditions can contribute to their formation.

Although milia are benign and do not cause pain, many individuals seek removal for cosmetic reasons. Unlike acne, milia do not have an opening to the skin’s surface, making it difficult for them to be extracted without professional help. In cases where milia persist, a licensed skincare professional, such as an esthetician or dermatologist.

Brown spots/Hyperpigmentation

Brown spotsBrown Spots, or Lentigo, are small pigmented spots that occur on the skin and have a clearly defined edge, surrounded by skin that appears normal. These are benign and restricted to the cell layer directly above the deepest membrane of the epidermis, which is where the melanocytes that make up these spots normally reside. Unlike freckles, these will stay stable in their color regardless of sunlight exposure. The most common, benign, sun induced lesion is a solar lentigo (actinic lentigo, senile lentigo, sun spot, liver spot). They occur in sun exposed areas appearing on the face, arms, tops of hands, and chest. The spots are typically smaller than 5mm in diameter and can be flat or depressed and may be split by fine wrinkles. The lesions are usually brown in color and may range from yellow-tan to black. Older lesions are often darker brown or black and can slowly increase in number and in size. It is most commonly found in individuals aged 30-50 years old. Increased exposure to sun and artificial sources of UV light can cause these to appear at an even younger age.

Treatment

The treatment of brown spots with the Skin Classic is fast and effective using specific high frequency that allows thermal vaporization but has minimal impact on the surrounding tissue. This can be much faster and more effective than topical creams that are commonly used.

Restoration of client’s skin tone relies on the color of their skin. The darker the clients skin tone, the longer it may take to totally remelanize. Following the treatment, crusts may appear within 24-36 hours. Within 7-14 days the crusts typically shed and the tissue will heal within 28-30 days. Avoid any irritants or harsh products until the 30 day healing cycle is complete and always apply moisturizer and sunscreen.Avoid direct sunlight. These may reappear as skin ages and it is best to have them treated as soon as they are visible. Maintaining a good skin care regime can also aide in maintaining results and prevent reoccurring brown spots.

Cherry Angiomas

Cherry angiomasCherry Angiomas are small clusters of capillaries at the surface of the skin that form a small round dome, orpapule, which is often flat topped. The color typically ranges from bright red to purple. When they first begin to appear, they are almost flat and appear as small red dots. These dots can grow over time up to a centimeter or more in some cases. Larger cherry angiomas may be thick and raised. These are found in various areas of the face and body and are typically caused by aging, pregnancy, genetics, and excessive sun exposure.

Treatment

The Skin Classic uses a small probe on a low setting to dehydrate and evaporate the blood that fills the cherry angioma until it is no longer visible, or barely visible. In the case of a large or very thick cherry angioma, it may take more than one treatment. You must wait 30 days (the complete healing cycle) to be retreated.

 Prognosis and Aftercare

In most clients, the number of cherry angiomas will increase with age and for best results, it is always best to have them treated as soon as they appear and are small. Following the procedure, it is recommended that you use a gentle cleanser twice a day, in addition to moisturizer and sunblock for positive healing. No harsh products should be used until the skin is smooth and free of redness. Treated cherry angiomas will typically form a crust within about 24-36 hours. The crust or should shed within 7-14 days. Complete healing take 30 days or longer.

What will my skin look like post treatment?

The area treated may appear erythmic (red) with some inflammation. The redness should reduce within a few hours. The lighter the skin tone, the longer it may take for the redness to subside. There may be some scabbing depending on the irregularity and the area of the body being treated.
